On 27th August 2021, the 100,000Nm³/d project in Chuanyu mega-region, the Heshen II Well Project, was successfully put into operation. 

Heshen II Well Project is the second project invested in Chuanyu mega-region by Furuise and coordinated by Furui Energy, which has been an important oil and gas production area in China ever since the company was established. 

This project is a joint-investment EPC operation project, and is also the first project to manage and control the whole process of self-wellhead treatment, natural gas purification, liquefaction, and desulfurization.

The project includes:

• Wellhead facilities
• Natural gas deacidification (synchronous desulfurization) unit
• Desulfurization facilities
• Dehydration and drying unit
• Propane pre-cooling unit
• MR mixed refrigerant main cooling unit
• Natural gas liquefaction unit
• Truck loading unit
• Gas generator sets

The challenge

Building in difficult construction conditions

Furui Energy had to work around the following conditions in order to complete this project:

• Gas source conditions contain high hydrogen sulphide, which is highly flammable and toxic
• Constructed from June to August - which are the hottest, rainiest, and most humid months of the year - the team had to overcome various weather difficulties such as extreme heat and severe warnings such as typhoons
• The project was constructed in a mountainous area, making it difficult to transport materials. Only a skid-mounted structure could meet the complex transportation requirements whilst completing the on-site installation works in good time

The solution

As the main project coordinator, Furui Energy took advantage of its parent company's capital, partner companys high-standard production, and Shaanxi Hongcheng New Energy’s rich construction and operation experience. This helped to ensure completion of the project and it being put into production.

In accordance with the design requirements and construction specifications of the standard liquefaction plant, the project achieved immediate standardization after it was put into operation.
